You need to have a etsy shop before you follow along this video creator. Most money making videos are actually selling something. They should outline the requirements in advance else it looses credibility. I find thus very annoying.

just wanna say kudos to Will for sharing this info so freely. That is one seriously beefy prompt and he didn't have to give that away to anyone else, so i think it's really generous of him to share his knowledge. Even if no one else does anything with it, I certainly found it a very interesting learning experience using Claude Code. Cheers team 🙌

Very good example of creating Google sheets with AI…I can't see this having a life of more than 6 months before our browsers' AI will create these for us.

I got the spreadsheets and the prompt, and I copied and pasted the prompt directly into Claude Code, but when I upload the files Claude generates for me to Google Drive, I get a bunch of errors. The ones you provided work, but not the Claude-generated ones. Am I missing a step?

Same Etsy bestseller cloning workflow that's been recycled across multiple creators this year — find listings doing real sales, run them through Claude with a structured prompt, ship variations into the same search results.
Will's prompt engineering is genuinely well-constructed and the Profit Tree research workflow is useful for legitimate market research. The application is the issue. The wedding planner doing 20 sales/day belongs to a real seller. The book tracker doing 8 sales/day belongs to a real seller. Teaching viewers to clone those listings systematically is what creates the watered-down search results that hurt original sellers.
Etsy updated their terms in 2024-2025 to require AI-generated content disclosure. The video doesn't mention this. Viewers shipping these listings without disclosure are violating terms and risk account suspension. Etsy's algorithm changes also suppress thin AI variations of existing products — the "ship many split-tested listings" volume play doesn't work the way it did in 2020.

Unless you have been on Etsy for ages its nearly impossible to compete in the algorithm.
